Lazy potato balls with cheese instead of usual mashed potatoes: turn out delicious and golden

Potato balls are a great alternative to the usual mashed potatoes - unlike the latter dish, they will be delicious even when cold. And you can serve them with any favorite sauce, vegetables, and other additions.

The idea of making lazy potato balls with cheese was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Khrystyna with the nickname foodblog kristi. Melted cheese inside makes the dish even more delicious.

Ingredients:

• potatoes - 800 g
• salt, pepper, paprika, dried garlic
• flour - 100 g
• cheese - 120 g
• vegetable oil for deep frying

Ingredients for breading:

• egg - 1 pc
• breadcrumbs - 80 g

Method of preparation:

1. Boil the potatoes, drain the water and mash them with a masher.

2. Cool completely.

3. Add salt, spices and flour to the mashed potatoes and mix.

4. Knead sticky dough and let stand for 15 minutes.

5. Divide into small pieces to form flat cakes and put pieces of cheese (about 1x1 cm in size) inside. Make balls.

6. Beat the egg, dip each ball into the mixture, and then into the breadcrumbs.

7. Pour enough oil into a saucepa and heat well. Fry the potato balls over medium heat until golden brown. Do not cook for long so that the cheese does not leak out.

8. Transfer to a paper towel and then to a plate.

9. Serve with sauce.
