President Zelensky has signed a decree imposing sanctions on 18 people, including Nestor Shufrych, Yevhen Muraiev, Petro Symonenko, Svitlana Kryukova, and Vasyl Gerello, who supported Russia's aggression. The sanctions include asset freezes, a ban on entry to Ukraine, and financial restrictions on these individuals.

This is stated in Decree No. 38/2025 "On the Decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of January 19, 2025 "On the Application and Cancellation of Personal Special Economic and Other Restrictive Measures (Sanctions)". The relevant document was published on the official website of the President of Ukraine.

The sanctions were imposed on 18 people, including politicians, cultural figures and journalists who have pro-Russian positions or directly contributed to the aggression against Ukraine. The list includes:

  • Nestor Shufrych, a former MP and politician who collaborated with pro-Russian forces;
  • Yevhen Muraiev, leader of the banned Nashi party;
  • Petro Symonenko, leader of the banned Communist Party of Ukraine;
  • Oleh Voloshyn - former MP who actively promoted pro-Russian narratives;
  • Svitlana Kryukova, former deputy editor-in-chief of the pro-Russian publication Strana;
  • Vasyl Herello and Ilya Reznik, cultural figures who supported Russia's aggression;
  • Konstantin Grigorishin, Sergey Karyakin, Vadim Pisarev, Ruzhena Rubleva, Leonid Baisarov, Yevgeny Gorokhov, Alexander Odnoralenko, Leonid Litvinov, Yuri Bashmet, and Viktor Sadovnichy - business and cultural representatives who contributed to the war or held pro-Russian positions.

The sanctions include a number of restrictions. These include:

  • blocking of assets on the territory of Ukraine;
  • a ban on entry to the territory of Ukraine;
  • freezing of financial transactions and a ban on the withdrawal of capital.

President Zelensky also noted that the state continues to deprive people who undermine national security with their actions of state awards. He also stated that these sanctions are part of a systematic effort to cleanse Ukraine of the influence of Russian agents.

The head of the National Security and Defense Council's Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko, praised these measures, emphasizing that they are aimed at combating pro-Russian propaganda and protecting national interests. The President announced the introduction of new sanctions decisions in the near future.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky has stripped MP Yuriy Boyko of the title of Hero of Ukraine. The President made the decision on January 19.
