Korean-style spicy beets instead of canned: a quick appetizer that is easy to prepare
Korean-style beetroot is a delicious appetizer for every day and a festive table. It is a great alternative to canned food with lots of vinegar. In addition, the vegetable marinates very quickly.
The idea of cooking spicy beets in Korean style was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Yuliia Senych (yuliia.senych). Garlic will add a special piquancy.
Ingredients:
- beets – 500 g
- salt – 0.5 tsp
- vinegar – 2 tbsp
- oil – 4 tbsp
- garlic – 2-3 cloves
- sugar – 1 tsp
- spices – black/red pepper
- coriander (if available)
- nutmeg (on the tip of a knife)
How to cook:
1. Peel and grate the beetroot.
2. Grate the garlic to the beets.
3. Add sugar, salt, and vinegar.
4. No need to drain the juice.
5. Add all the spices.
6. Heat the oil in a frying pan and pour it into the beets.
7. Let marinate for 3-4 hours in the refrigerator.
