Katya Kuznetsova frankly said why she left Russia after Putin's troops invaded Ukraine: it was not her father who convinced her

Katya Kuznetsova answered whether her father really influenced her decision to leave Russia after February 24

The popular Kyiv-born actress Kateryna Kuznetsova, who viewers primarily know for her role as waitress Sasha in the comedy series Kitchen, had been building a career in Russia for many years, but after February 24, she left the terrorist country and condemned its aggression. Some of the star's colleagues, including People's Artist of Ukraine Nazar Zadniprovsky, suggested that Kateryna's decision was influenced by her father, the legendary former Dynamo Kyiv defender Oleh Kuznetsov. Allegedly, the coach of the Ukrainian youth national team had a conversation with his daughter, assuring her that their family would be "misunderstood" if the heiress remained in Moscow.

However, Kateryna herself refutes such assumptions. She says that her desire to sever any ties with Russia as soon as possible after the full-scale invasion arose without any outside influence. These comments were made by the 36-year-old celebrity in an interview with Alina Dorotyuk for her YouTube channel of the same name.

It is true that her parents did have something to do with Kuznetsova leaving Moscow. However, not because they asked her to do so, but because the actress really wanted to see them and make sure they were safe.

About Zadniprovsky's assumptions, the actress said: "No, it's not true. Of course not. I have such a relationship with my father... We don't talk much, it's all in our eyes. He might ask sometimes: "How are you doing?" And it means: oh, there is a moment when we can talk. So there was no such thing. It was purely my decision. At that moment, I was no longer hurried by the fact that the war had started, but by the fact that I wanted to come to my parents as soon as possible. Therefore, I did not have a question: to go here or there. No, everything was final, I had already looked at all these tickets. Max just shook me and said: "If you go there now, you will hurt both mom and dad."

At the same time, the artist assures us that she is indeed her father's daughter, just as determined and radical in many ways. So it is quite safe to say that it is thanks to these traits that Kateryna inherited from the player of the legendary Dynamo team that she did not hesitate to say goodbye to the aggressor state.

"My father had no significant influence. But I am my father's daughter. I am very specific and radical in such matters. I got this from my father, because my mother is soft, she cares about everyone. I don't think he had much influence on my decision. But, of course, it was important for me to hear, and I asked him: "Dad, are you scared?" He answered: "I'm fine". And I realized that yes, he was scared, as all Ukrainians are from time to time. But I'm glad I'm here now, that I can be there for him," Katia said.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Oleg Kuznetsov said that his daughter refused to go to Russia after the outbreak of a full-scale war, although she was offered leading roles there. According to the athlete, Yuriy Stoyanov and Artem Tkachenko called Kateryna and persuaded her to return, and she sent them away in response.
