Ruslan Bahinskyi created hats for Camilla and Kate Middleton

The world-famous Ukrainian designer Ruslan Bahinskyi created unique hats for Camilla, Queen Consort of Great Britain, and Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, who is currently fighting cancer. The hats are decorated with special flowers that carry powerful symbolism.

Bahinskyi personally met with Deputy British Ambassador Nicholas Harrocks in Kyiv and handed him gifts for the wife and daughter-in-law of British sovereign Charles III. This was reported, in particular, on the Instagram page of the Ruslan Bahinskyi brand.

"Yesterday I had the great honor of handing over two specially created Ruslan Bahinskyi hats for Her Majesty the Queen and Her Highness the Princess of Wales! Thank you for the sincere words of Nicholas Harrocks and for such a special handover ceremony, which took place at the British Embassy in Kyiv with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Thank you for the honor and trust!" the designer shared.

He also revealed that "these incredible pieces honor a centuries-old tradition and combine it with modern and innovative trends, symbolizing the rich cultural heritage of our nations and symbolizing the deep ties between the British and Ukrainians."

The designer put cards in the box with explanations of what each of the hats symbolizes.

For example, for Kate Middleton, the Ukrainian created a traditional canoe hat, which is part of the silhouette of Ukrainian folk costumes. The deep green color of the hat is harmoniously combined with its special element – a white forsythia flower made of silk, which was handmade by our craftsmen. Forsythia is one of the first flowers of Ukrainian spring, a symbol of life and hope. This can be considered an eloquent sign of support for Princess Catherine in such a difficult time for her and her family.

Meanwhile, for Camilla, Bahinskyi designed a black felt beret decorated with purple flower blossoms, also handmade from silk. The piece impresses with its elegance. Violets are also considered the first flowers of Ukrainian spring, symbolizing life and hope.

As a reminder, in August 2022, Bahinskyi created an exclusive hat for the then reigning Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain. The blue hat, decorated with yellow and pink flowers, was a gift for Ukraine's Independence Day.

It should be noted that Ruslan Bahinskyi is a world-renowned Ukrainian designer of hats and accessories, the founder of his personal brand of the same name. His fans include models Bella and Gigi Hadid, Kaia Gerber, Emily Ratakovsky, singers Madonna, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Beyoncé and Alicia Keys, actress Lily Collins and editor Anna Della. In 2020, the first lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, wore a hat by Bahinskyi to a reception with the Pope.
