Apple's new budget smartphone from the SE series, the iPhone SE 4, is about to be unveiled. And the first photos of the gadget, which caused a stir even before its launch, have finally appeared online.
The pictures were published by Spigen, a well-known manufacturer of cases for technology. The company has already developed protective cases for the new iPhone SE 4, and promotional shots with them showed how the smartphone will look like. According to T4, the design of the device, as predicted, will change significantly and will be closer to the style of the iPhone 14.
This way, the gadget will have flat side edges, thin screen bezels, and bangs on the front panel. Apparently, the rumors that the Home button on the new iPhone SE 4 will disappear are confirmed – it is not present in the renders.
The dimensions of the new budget iPhone will be quite compact – 146.7 x 7.8 x 1.5 mm. According to the leaks, the model will have a 6.06-inch OLED screen with a brightness of up to 800 nits. However, the screen refresh rate will remain at 60 Hz.
The camera in the new iPhone SE 4 will remain single. However, its sensitivity will increase to 48 megapixels. A round flash can be seen next to the camera sensor in the renders.
As for the specifications, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to be equipped with a powerful A18 chip. The smartphone will also have 8 GB of RAM. This will help it support Apple Intelligence functions. In addition, the gadget will be equipped with a universal USB-C connector, and an Action Button, and will be the first device with a proprietary 5G modem.
The iPhone SE 4 is expected to be unveiled this week. This was hinted at by Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman. He also predicted that sales of Apple's new budget smartphone should start by the end of February. The price of the device, according to him, will be $499.
The main competitor of the iPhone SE 4 is the Pixel 9a. It is expected to appear in March. The new product from Google will offer a larger screen and battery, as well as an updated design.
