In the style of Big Little Lies: what the soon-to-be-released Netflix series The Perfect Couple is about

This Thursday, September 5, a new series with the potential to be a huge hit is set to be released on Netflix. A star-studded cast, a detective story with a murder, tense relationships between the characters, the setting of an expensive wedding, and, obviously, a little humor.

The show is called The Perfect Couple and is already being called a reincarnation of the atmosphere of Big Little Lies. A video with the series trailer was released on the official Netflix YouTube channel.

In the story, a girl named Amelia Sachs is about to marry a representative of one of the richest families on Nantucket's Millionaire's Island. Her future mother-in-law, the famous writer Greer Harrison Winbury, spares no expense in organizing the wedding. She wants to organize the social event of the season. Suddenly, the preparations are interrupted by a terrible discovery - a dead body lies on the beach near the family home. Investigators arrive on the island to solve the case in hot pursuit.

The series impresses with its cast. The main roles are played by Nicole Kidman and Dakota Fanning. The cast also includes Liev Schreiber, one of Ukraine's main friends in Hollywood. Billy Hole, Eve Hewson, Megan Fey, Michael Beach, Donna Lynn Champlin and others also starred with them. The film was directed by Susanne Bier (Bird Box, The First Lady, Playback).

The trailer shows numerous scenes of the characters talking to interrogators in an interrogation room. And all this is accompanied by an ironic soundtrack - the song Can't Take My Eyes off You.

"The Perfect Match is based on the bestselling novel by Elin Hilderbrand. Jenna Lamia (Good Girls, Awkward) adapted the story for the movie and also acted as a showrunner.
