On the morning of April 2, explosions were heard in the special economic zone of Elabuga in the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian federation). Local residents complained of a drone attack.

In turn, officials confirmed that the attack was carried out on enterprises in Yelabuga and Nizhnekamsk. This was reported by Russian propaganda media.

According to the propagandists, there was a drone attack on the Yelaz-Naftoprodukt oil refinery. Eyewitnesses said they saw two UAVs that flew into the special economic zone of Yelabuga, followed by several explosions.

Local authorities confirmed that the drone attacks in Tatarstan targeted businesses in Elabuga and Nizhnekamsk. At the same time, officials said that despite the explosions, the technological process was allegedly not disrupted.

The Russian Federation also stated that a dormitory was damaged as a result of the explosions. The press service of the head of Tatarstan said that several people were allegedly injured in a drone attack on a company in Yelabuga.

The representative of the special economic zone claimed that the drones were allegedly equipped with NATO equipment. At the same time, he cynically lied that the drones were allegedly attacking civilian targets. The official also said that the drones would not frighten "the descendants of the people who took Paris in 1815 and Berlin in 1945."

According to Russian propagandists, a Ukrainian UJ-22 Airborne drone flew into Tatarstan with at least 20 kg of explosives on board. It is worth noting that, based on the propagandists' statement, the UAV was supposed to have flown at least 1,100 kilometers.
