In October +30: the island with the best beaches is named

In October, cold and wet autumn comes to Europe and we all start to miss summer. A vacation will help to bring back the warm season, especially if you choose the right destination.

According to the Express, one of the travel agents decided to analyze where to find the best beaches among the countries where the summer weather lasts in October and November. And the winner was somewhat unexpected – it's not the place that first comes to mind when you think of a beach vacation.

Madagascar took the first place in the ranking of 42 locations, with an average beach rating of 8 out of 10. At the same time, 50% of the 22 beaches analyzed were rated five stars or higher for convenience. The bright blue waters of the ocean here are combined with magnificent white sand. The highest rating was given to the beaches of Mar Esmeralda and Sakalava Beach. Both finished with a rating of 8.4.

Located in the Indian Ocean off the east coast of Mozambique in Africa, Madagascar has 4800 km of coastline. Here you can find cozy bays and golden sands. And around the main island are scattered dozens of small pieces of land that offer seclusion. You can find everything in Madagascar – from luxurious resort vacations to romantic and quiet locations.

You can head to the east of the island to visit Nusi Mangabe, located in the sheltered waters of Antongil Bay, and the former pirate island of Nusi Boraha. But you don't have to go to these smaller, secluded islands to find paradise. Beautiful beaches can be found all along the coast of the main island. Experts most recommend those that are located on the outlying southwestern coastal towns of Tulliara, Ifati, and Anakao.

You can usually find restaurants serving amazing seafood near the beach. As for water activities, snorkeling on coral reefs and ocean cruises in search of sharks, whales, turtles, and other amazing creatures are offered. On land, you can meet lemurs – Madagascar is their natural habitat.

The second place after Madagascar in the study was taken by another East African country, Tanzania, where Zanzibar is located. It is also known for its white sandy shores and crystal clear water. Mauritius, a subtropical island nation in the Indian Ocean, was ranked third. In Europe, Italy was named the country with the best beaches, France was in second place, and Malta was in third.
