In Mykolaiv, three servicemen of the Mine Action Center - Vadym Yelisieiev, Olena Kliuchnikova and Yevhen Siryk - were tragically killed. It happened during a brutal terrorist attack when a female suicide bomber approached a group of soldiers with a package of explosives.

The victims were faithfully fulfilling their military duty to their homeland and defending Ukraine, saving civilians and their comrades from the mine threat. This was reported by the Center for Mine Action and Ukrainian Demining Services.

It is noted that as a result of a brutal terrorist attack on February 14, Ukraine lost brave soldiers and loyal defenders of its land.

"The names of the deceased will be forever etched in our memory as a symbol of courage, honor and self-sacrifice. The servicemen selflessly ensured the safety of Ukrainian citizens, neutralizing the mine threat and saving the lives of civilians and their colleagues. Their contribution to the defense of the country is invaluable, and their sacrifice is timeless," the Center noted.

Colleagues expressed their condolences to the families, friends and colleagues. The victims will always remain in our hearts.

The Center added that anyone can support these families who lost their dearest ones in the war. Therefore, a fundraiser was announced to help the families of the fallen soldiers.

As reported by OBOZ.UA,an explosion occurred in Mykolaiv on the afternoon of February 14 near a catering establishment. Initially, two people were reported dead and eight wounded.

Later, a video was posted online showing an unknown woman bringing explosives in a regular package to the scene. When she approached the group of soldiers, the device went off.
