"If we had come to the terms": Putin called Ukraine a "brotherly country" and made a cynical statement about Crimea. Video

Russian President Vladimir Putin has once again called Ukraine, against which Russia has been at war since 2014, a "brotherly country." According to him, Russia was forced to kill Ukrainian "brothers" and occupy Ukrainian territories.

The dictator once again began to talk about the "Nazi scum" who "staged a coup d'etat" and allegedly repressed "Russian people" in Ukraine. Putin made the cynical speech during a meeting with members of the Russian Public Chamber.

The president of the aggressor country, whose Russian troops are killing Ukrainians and wiping out Ukrainian cities on a whim and on orders, has once again told a cynical lie about the "brotherly people." And he accused this "brotherly people" of being attacked by Russia and occupying part of Ukraine.

"Of course, if we had normal, modern, friendly relations with fraternal Ukraine - I still say "fraternal", meaning that our ethnic composition is fraternal in the truest sense of the word - no one would have thought of committing actions, for example, related to Crimea," Putin said.

According to the dictator, Russia was "forced" to seize Ukrainian Crimea, and it was done by "Nazis" who, he claims, are in charge in Ukraine.

"Well, how (could we occupy Crimea - Ed.) if everything was fine there? If Russian people, the Russian language, and culture were treated normally, if there were no coups d'état, would anyone in Crimea have thought of acting the way we did? Of course not!" the Russian president said.

A few minutes later, while talking about Russia's occupation of Ukraine's territories, Putin repeatedly emphasized that Russia was forced to invade, occupy, and violate all applicable international laws.

"Well, what should we do? They simply put us in a position where we could do nothing else but defend the people who live there. The same thing happened later with Donbas, with Novorossiya," the dictator assures.

In his opinion, the violent invasion, seizure and "annexation" of parts of a neighboring sovereign state is "smooth and natural."

"Of course, we need to do everything to ensure that the accession of these territories is smooth and natural and that people feel the result as soon as possible," Putin said, without specifying that the "result" of the full-scale war unleashed by the Kremlin was definitely felt by residents of all of Ukraine, who lost their friends, relatives and neighbors, homes and property, health, and sometimes even their lives through the fault of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, Putin spoke about the Jewish pogroms in Dagestan. According to the dictator, the crowds of frantic Dagestanis looking for "Jews" at the Makhachkala airport did not destroy everything because Russian propaganda had incited the Russian population to a comprehensive hatred of everything and everyone. As usual, Ukraine and the West were to blame.
