"I will definitely prepare": Povetkin says he wants to rematch Klitschko

Povetkin lost three times in his career

Former world heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin has expressed his readiness to rematch the boxers he lost to during his career, including Wladimir Klitschko, Anthony Joshua, and Dillian Whyte. At the same time, the 44-year-old Kursk native forgot that three years ago he announced his retirement from the ring.

Povetkin said this in a commentary to the propaganda news agency TASS. The Russian Knight, who fiercely supports Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin and the war in Ukraine, expressed a desire to resume his career if offered.

"I haven't received any offers, but I could fight someone. I would like to box with those I lost to last time. If my health allows, I will prepare and have a fight," Povetkin said.

As a reminder, the Russian lost to Klitschko in November 2013 – three times 104:119. Joshua knocked out Povetkin in the seventh round of the 2018 fight. And White knocked out the Knight in the fourth three minutes three years ago, after which the Russian announced his retirement.
