"I miss and I don't understand why": Ukrainian biathlete comments on the World Cup relay race

Ukrainian biathlete Daria Blashko admitted that she was incredibly disappointed with her performance in the relay race of the first stage of the World Cup, which is currently taking place in Östersund, Sweden. The 27-year-old from Chernihiv noted that she could not explain her misses during the shooting.

Blashko said this in an interview with biathlon.com.ua, summarizing the results of the race, which our girls finished in 12th place. According to Daria, she did not face any bad weather conditions during the shooting, but for some unknown reason, she missed three rounds at once.

"I don't know why there were so many misses today. It's the second time in my career that I've gone into a penalty lap in a relay. I came to the rack, everything was fine, I was in control. I shoot, everything seems to be fine, but I miss and I don't understand why. If the first miss was my mistake, then the other two... I honestly don't understand why it happened. Of course, I will analyze what happened. Others missed maybe because of the wind, yes - it was in the stadium. But when I was shooting, there were no special gusts, I didn't feel them. But there were still misses," Blashko said.

Earlier, Ukrainian biathlete Khrystyna Dmytrenko, who was awarded the title of the most beautiful in the team, called her performance in the relay race at the first stage of the World Cup shameful.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Ukrainian biathlete Artem Pryma failed to pass the baton in the race at the first stage of the World Cup - he did not have enough space in a special corridor where the participants of the race are changed.
