Hyundai to launch new electric SUV: what is known about the Inster Cross
SUVs are the most relevant segment on the market ahead of the winter weather. It has become known that the auto giant Hyundai will add a more adventurous Inster trim called Cross to its lineup. Despite its front-wheel drive, the Inster Cross is focused on off-roading, with a rugged body kit, roof rack, and a set of new wheels for a tougher look.
The Inster debuted last June as a slightly longer, all-electric version of the Hyundai Casper subcompact crossover. The details were revealed by Carscoops.

The new Cross trim is based on the Inster platform and enhances the accent details by adding more pronounced front and rear bumpers with large protective plates and a black finish. The car is designed to cope with any difficulties on city streets or off-road.

On the side, there are new side sills that mimic rocker panels, as well as a sleek set of optional 17-inch alloy wheels. There's a standard roof rack on the roof, ready to carry your gear when cabin space is tight. And if you like a starker aesthetic, it's available in Amazonas exclusive Green Matte color.

Inside, the changes are minimal but noticeable, with yellow and lime accents on the gray fabric upholstery and dashboard inserts. For such a small electric vehicle, measuring just 3.8 meters long, the Inster Cross is surprisingly practical. The interior offers additional features such as a front multi-folding seat, a sliding and folding second row, and a trunk with a capacity of 280 to 351 liters, depending on the configuration.

Like the regular Inster, the Cross is available with all-electric Standard and Long Range drivetrains. One electric motor produces 95 hp or 113 hp, and the battery has a capacity of 42 kWh or 49 kWh. The latter offers a WLTP range of up to 359 km and supports 120 kWh DC charging.
Production of the Inster Cross is planned to begin in Korea by the end of the year, and details on the price will be known closer to the launch.
