How to remove scratches on a car windshield: every driver can do it
The windshield is probably the most important window in a car. It provides the driver with a clear view of the road. And any dirt or defects in the glass can impair this view and create a traffic hazard. One of the most common defects is scratches.
They are easy to cause. However, shallow scratches are also quite easy to deal with. A simple polish will help. OBOZREVATEL tells you how to polish a car windshield yourself.
To do this, you will need a polish that can be purchased at any car store. However, you shouldn't choose the first car polish you come across. You only need a product specifically designed for glass. You need to apply it with special polishing cloths - an ordinary cloth will not do.
How to apply polish to the windshield correctly
First, apply a small amount of the product on a napkin - no need to drip it directly onto the glass. Next, the entire surface of the window is treated with a dampened napkin, both from the outside and the inside. The polish should lie on the glass in an even layer. After that, let the product dry. When it is no longer shiny, you can proceed to the second stage.
Now, with a dry and clean polishing cloth, wipe the glass, removing the remaining polish. As a result, the glass should become shiny, and the product should penetrate small scratches and remove them.
Of course, serious defects cannot be removed in this way. If the scratches are deep and very noticeable, this is a reason to contact a professional mechanic.
