How to quickly clean stains after children in the car: the most effective ways
Children are an endless generator of stains wherever they are. In the car interior as well. That's why automotive experts often have a few tips on how to quickly remove dirt from the seats after small passengers. And at the same time, get rid of foreign odors that may arise from these stains.
OBOZREVATEL has learned about a few of these life hacks. Effective products do not require complex ingredients and are inexpensive.
Traces of pens, markers, and pencils
This problem haunts parents of creative children who like to have fun with coloring books or draw something of their own on the road. And such children are the vast majority. Well, this is a great hobby that can grow into an even better profession, but before that, you'll have to wipe off more than a dozen stains from the car interior.
If your car has leather seats, hairspray will do a surprisingly good job. Spray a little product on a microfiber cloth and wipe the stained area with it. The pen or felt-tip mark should disappear quickly. The skin will not be affected. But clean it up quickly, because the dried varnish can leave stains on the seats.
Other effective remedies for the effects of children's creativity can be medical alcohol or nail polish remover. But they should first be tested in an inconspicuous area to see if they interact with the upholstery.
Traces of food and drink
White vinegar dissolves such contaminants well. It works well on fabric upholstery as well. Mix vinegar and water in equal proportions in a spray bottle, apply it to the stain, and leave it on for a few minutes. After that, gently rub the stain from the edges to the center and blot the remaining liquid with a paper towel. Vinegar will also remove odors. All you have to do is ventilate the car until it is completely dry.
Stains on the floor mats
Spilled liquids, traces of dirt, and other stains on the car mats can be removed well with ordinary baking soda. If you need an abrasive for cleaning, wet the mat, sprinkle a little baking soda on it, and scrub it with a brush. The dirt will disappear quickly. You can also use baking soda to make a cleaning paste. To do this, mix it with water to obtain the desired consistency, apply it to the stain, and leave it on for a while. Then rub the stain gently and rinse off the remaining soda with water. Finally, when the stain is dry, it can be vacuumed to remove small particles.
