How to make three-ingredient bagels without an oven: a protein breakfast recipe
If you want to make a breakfast that won't harm your figure but will still provide your body with protein, you should make these simple bagels with just three ingredients. Moreover, you don't need an oven for this.
The recipe for this simple dish was shared by food blogger and bestselling author Nathan Anthony on his TikTok. According to him, these popular bagels take just 18 minutes to cook in a deep fryer.
Ingredients
- 200 g of flour
- 275 g of Greek yogurt 0% fat
- One beaten egg
- Sesame seeds or poppy seeds if desired.
For the filling (optional)
- One avocado
- Four boiled eggs
- Two tablespoons of cottage cheese
- A handful of onions
- A handful of basil
- ½ teaspoon of chili flakes
- ½ lemon
- Salt and pepper
- A pinch of dill.
Method of preparation.
1. Add the flour and Greek yogurt to a bowl and mix with a fork or your hands.
2. After mixing well, roll the dough into a ball and cut it into four equal parts. Roll each piece into a sausage and form a circle, pinching the edges.
3. Coat the bagels with the egg solution and add the seeds of your choice before placing them in the deep fryer for 18 minutes at 180C.
4. Prepare the filling while the bagels are baking. When they are ready, cut the bagels in half and add the filling.
