For accent lips, it's important to add shine. Makeup artists advise applying shiny shimmering shades over a nude base to make your lips look attractive. This life hack will also visually add volume. If you don't have a shimmering lip gloss in your makeup bag, try mixing a sheer gloss with a sparkling highlighter.

"Mix the lip gloss with the pigment on the back of your hand and then rub it into your skin to create a beautiful glow and make it the perfect complement to your makeup," Mariélle says.

Pigmented glitter eyeshadow is the perfect choice for holiday makeup. Just dip your fingertip in the shadow and sweep it across your eyelid. If you want to up the ante with a shimmer in a champagne, gold, or pink hue, don't be afraid to add a little shadow to your cheeks for extra brightness.
