How to cook liver deliciously without bitterness and unpleasant odor: we share tips and a recipe
The liver is one of the most delicious and healthy foods, rich in vitamins, namely A, B1, B2, B3, B6, B9 (folate), B12, C, and D, and it also contains choline, iron, copper, zinc, selenium, phosphorus, and all essential fatty and amino acids. The bioavailability of vitamins and minerals from the liver is very high. It can be cooked in different ways: baked, fried, stewed, as well as made into pate, chops, and salads.
The cook shared a recipe for a delicious stewed liver with plums, spices, and wine on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- 1 large onion
- 100 g of wine (50 in onion/50 in liver)
- thyme
- liver (500-600 grams)
- 1 tsp. balsamic
- plums
Method of preparation:
1. Fry the onion until golden brown with thyme and wine.
2. Fry the liver separately and add some of the wine.
3. Put the fried onions in the baking dish first, then the fried liver, add the thyme, and cover with plums. Bake for 30-40 minutes at 180 degrees (in a preheated oven).
