How to clean the air fryer from grease and grime in just 20 minutes: a simple method
Air fryers are popular kitchen appliances, but they can quickly become covered in grease and dirt.
Fortunately, there is an easy way to clean them with a minimum number of tools - detergent, baking soda, all-purpose cleaner, an old toothbrush, and a soft sponge or cloth, OBOZ.UA writes.
To begin with, unplug the air fryer after use and let it cool completely. Then detach all removable parts and disconnect the component parts.
Clean each part with warm water and a simple cleaning solution. Use the soft side of a sponge or cloth to avoid damaging the nonstick coating. Clean the crevices of the basket thoroughly too.
To prepare the cleaning solution, simply mix a little warm water with the detergent to create a bubbly solution.
If there are burnt bits of food that can't be removed with a sponge alone, make a paste of baking soda and water and apply it to the area. Leave it on for 20 minutes, or if you are short on time, gently scrub with an old toothbrush.
When you're done, simply rinse the components and let them dry before placing them back.
When performing a deeper cleaning, keep in mind that the main unit of the air fryer cannot be immersed in water and will need to be cleaned by hand.
Use a sponge or cloth dampened with water and detergent or all-purpose cleaner and don't forget to check the heating coil on the underside of the air fryer for grease and stains.
