Choosing the right time for watering
The best time to water is in the late evening (after 20:00) or at night. In no case should you water during the day, because moisture will evaporate quickly and can burn the leaves.
In addition, the air temperature is lower after sunset, which allows water to penetrate deeper into the soil.
If for some reason you were unable to water the plants in the evening, you can do it early in the morning, at dawn.
How to water
Before watering the garden, check the soil at a depth of 3-5 cm. If it is still wet, postpone watering until the next day.
Water should be distributed evenly and gradually. If you pour too quickly, the moisture will not have time to seep deep, so a swamp will form on top and the roots will remain dry.
Mulching
In the heat, you can mulch the soil with dry grass, sawdust, etc. This will prevent moisture from evaporating too quickly.
