How to always look stylish: the "sandwich method" will solve all problems

Experienced stylists say that you should try to look stylish, not fashionable. But how can you create a stylish look with minimal effort, even if you have little experience?

Experts advise trying the so-called sandwich method. Fashion blogger Rei Fujita demonstrated how to use it. Moreover, she chose a rather bright wine shade to create the look to demonstrate that the life hack will work even with complex colors.

The essence of the method is to arrange colors like layers in a sandwich: the upper part of the outfit should be combined with shoes, and the lower part should be combined with outerwear. The bag, according to the classic principle, should also be combined with the shoes.

So, Rae started with a gray skirt, which is not an accent color but has a complex cut. It became the "filling" of her "sandwich". The blogger complemented this skirt with a wine-colored tee and similarly colored ankle boots, thus creating the base of the outfit with this approach.

To stylize this base, Ray added a jacket that matched the color of the skirt and complemented it with a red bag that went well with the golf and shoes. She advised choosing jewelry following the bag's decoration - this time she chose silver earrings and a necklace.

As for the rest of the accessories, according to the sandwich method, they should be combined with the bottom of the outfit. For Rae, it turned out to be black leggings and sunglasses with massive black frames.

So, the main points for creating a sandwich look are as follows:

• the top part of the outfit (top, shirt, golf) should match the color of the shoes;
• match the outerwear to the lower part (skirt, pants);
• the bag should match the shoes and top, the jewelry should match the bag, and the rest of the accessories should match the bottom of the outfit.

Stylists have already called this method one of the most convenient because it does not require much thought to create a complete look. Moreover, anyone can easily cope with this approach, even a person with no experience in styling clothes. The sandwich method, according to professionals, helps to make the image complete and coherent and turn everyday clothes into something more interesting than ordinary jeans with a T-shirt or hoodie. At the same time, it helps to easily introduce bright colors into the wardrobe and not make a mistake with their combination.
