Housing prices have been rewritten: where in Ukraine is the most expensive place to vacation

In the summer, the cost of daily rent in Ukraine traditionally increases in popular tourist destinations, especially in the Carpathians and the Black Sea. The highest prices are in Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Odesa regions.

This is stated on one of the largest Ukrainian online classifieds sites. The top ten settlements with the highest prices for renting apartments include:

• Myhove (Chernivtsi region) – the median price is UAH 3,750 per day;
• Polianytsia (Ivano-Frankivsk region) – UAH 3,500;
• Mayaki (Odesa region) – UAH 3,500;
• Dyida (Zakarpattia region) – UAH 2,975;
• Burlacha Balka (Odesa region) – UAH 2,250;
• Mykulychyn (Ivano-Frankivsk region) – UAH 2,000;
• Vapniarka (Odesa region) – UAH 2,000;
• Verkhovyna (Ivano-Frankivsk region) – 2,000 UAH;
• Kryvorivnia (Ivano-Frankivsk region) – UAH 2,000;
• Volosianka (Lviv region) – UAH 1,650.

Most often Ukrainians are looking for apartments in three cities: Svitiaz (Volyn region), Yaremche (Ivano-Frankivsk region), and Chornomorsk (Odesa region). At the same time, in 2023, Svityaz and Chornomorsk did not have such demand.

Demand for rental housing grew the most strongly over the year in Odesa – more than 1.5 times. Despite frequent air raids, the overall daily rental market in Odesa region has been growing steadily over the past year: not only the median price but also the number of ads and responses to them. In July, the top ten most popular resorts in Odesa region (by the number of responses) looked like this:

• Odesa: the number of responses to the ad was 368,370, and the median price was UAH 1,500;
• Chornomorsk: 39,781 responses, median price – UAH 1,105;
• Karolino-Buhaz: 16,630 responses, median price – UAH 1,100;
• Fontanka: 9,086 reviews, median price UAH 1,300;
• Sanzheika: 5,581 reviews, median price UAH 1,500;
• Zatoka: 3,736 reviews, median price UAH 775;
• Kryzhanivka: 2,689 reviews, median price UAH 800.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that a new type of rental housing – social housing – may soon appear in Ukraine. We are talking about housing in buildings that will belong to local communities. The rent in such buildings will be much lower, and in some cases, tenants will be able to buy it out.
