Hollywood stars have brought men's lustful shorts back into fashion and they are now everywhere: how and with what to wear them

Shorts are perhaps the most controversial piece of clothing, especially when it comes to men's wardrobe. But the climate is getting hotter and hotter, and fashion reflects this.

Thus, fashion critics have noticed that popular men - actors, singers, bloggers - have begun to wear so-called "lusty shorts" on a massive scale. This is a shortened model that hardly covers the hips. Many people consider this length indecent, hence the name of the trend, but it is fashionable again.

A real ambassador of lusty shorts is actor Paul Mescal. He's been working out his legs for his role in the Gladiator sequel, which will be released later this year, and he's proud to show off his achievements.

Most often, Mescal chooses these shorts for jogging and walking around the city, for which he prefers a sporty style. This is the most organic way to wear this piece of clothing. In one of his interviews, the actor explained why he liked to dress this way: "In my opinion, it has to do with proportions: short shorts with maybe a longer top. I'm a big fan of men wearing short shorts."

Critics called Mescal's look for the Gucci show during Milan Fashion Week the most provocative. The actor put on a classic shirt and unbuttoned the top and several bottom buttons. He complemented it with loafers with long socks and underwear-style shorts.

Short men's shorts have been in and out of men's fashion for decades. Tom Selleck wore them in the TV series "Magnum P.I.". The best James Bond of all time, Sean Connery, also appeared in them. Nowadays, you can find a lot of confessions on social media from women who half-jokingly, half-seriously claim that they will not date a man who wears shorts longer than 15 centimeters.

Last year, however, the sci-fi star Pedro Pascal chose voluptuous shorts for the Met Gala. He combined a black cropped model with a shirt and coat in screaming red, complementing the look with high lacquer boots and a thin black tie. And thus, he probably caused the most fashion controversy. But he certainly did not leave anyone indifferent.

Chris Pine managed to fit lusty shorts into a more formal style. He wore them to the premiere of his movie The Pool Cleaner. The actor complemented the smoky denim model with a beige T-shirt with an inscription and a slightly darker blazer, to which he pinned a large pink flower. It turned out to be very hooligan.
