Gathered "titushky" to the Maidan: what is known about the president of the Boxing Federation of the so-called "DPR", who died in an explosion in Moscow
In Moscow, the president of the Boxing Federation of the so-called "DPR" and founder of the Arbat battalion, Armen Nagapetovich Sargsyan, was injured in an explosion in an elite residential complex. He is known as "Armen of Horlivka" and was engaged in supplying "titushky" to Maidan during the Revolution of Dignity.
As a result of the explosion, Sargsyan suffered severe injuries, including a head injury, contusion, and burns. He was hospitalized in critical condition in intensive care, where he fell into a coma. His left leg was amputated. Later it became known that Sargsyan had died. This was reported by the Russian media with reference to their sources.
In the first minutes after the assassination attempt, local residents rushed to save Armen Sargsyan. They applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding.
It is noted that the man entered the entrance with the guards, one of whom could have died, and the explosion could have occurred in the elevator. The concierge claims to have seen the victim on TV.
A source of the Cheka-OGPU Telegram channel said that the apartment on the 22nd floor where Armen Sargsyan lived belonged to a family named Weinstein. The apartment was rented about two years ago by the wife of the president of the DPR boxing federation, Yulia.
In addition, the owner of the apartment where the victim of the explosion lived said that they rented the apartment to Armen Nagapetovich Sargsyan.
It is reported that a medical helicopter arrived at the residential complex. According to preliminary data, Armen Sargsyan was seriously injured but could have survived.
Russian law enforcement officers opened a criminal case under Article 30 and Part 2 of Article 105 (murder and attempted murder of two or more persons). According to Russian media, the case may be reclassified under Article 205 (terrorist attack) of the Criminal Code, "if a Ukrainian trace is found in the crime."
It is worth noting that Armen Sargsyan, known as Armen Horlivsky, was a criminal authority during the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych. He was involved in supplying "titushky" to the Maidan during the Revolution of Dignity and was a member of Yanukovych's inner circle.
After the outbreak of full-scale war, the Russians instructed Sargsyan to create a new formation for the war against Ukraine. He headed the newly created militant group called the "Separate Special Forces Battalion "ArBAT." It consisted of repeat offenders convicted of murder, robbery, and other crimes.
In addition, Sargsyan may have close relations with Chechen security forces. He is called the brother of Akhmat special forces commander Apti Alaudinov. Also, one of the photos shows Sargsyan with the foster brother of the head of Chechnya.
In December 2024, the Security Service of Ukraine notified Sargsyan of suspicion under several articles of the Criminal Code:
- ч. 7 of Art. 111-1 (voluntary participation in illegal armed or paramilitary groups, or providing assistance to such groups in conducting hostilities against the Armed Forces of Ukraine);
- ч. 3, Art. 28, Part 1, Art. 111-2 (aiding the aggressor state committed by an organized group of persons by prior conspiracy).
Since May 2014, he has been on the international wanted list for organizing murders in the center of Kyiv.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, on the morning of Monday, February 3, an explosion occurred in the elite residential complex "Alye Parusa" in Moscow. Five people were injured, and one was killed.
