Friends star Matthew Perry dies at the age of 54

On Sunday night, October 29, it became known that the famous American actor Matthew Perry, known for his role as Chandler Bing in the cult TV series Friends, died in the United States at the age of 54. The star's body was found on Saturday, October 28, at his home in the Los Angeles area.
This was reported by TMZ. "He appears to have drowned," they wrote, citing law enforcement sources. It is noted that the first responders arrived at the scene due to a call about a cardiac arrest.
"Our sources say he was found in a jacuzzi at home...and we were told that no drugs were found at the scene," the report said. No traces of crime were found either.
Later, it was reported that Perry died in his own home after exercising in the morning.
"We were told that Matthew returned home in the morning after a 2-hour pickleball game and shortly afterward he sent his assistant on an errand. We are told that when the assistant returned about 2 hours later, he saw that Matthew was not responding and called 911," TMZ writes.
The investigation into the cause of the actor's death is ongoing.
Matthew Perry is best known for his role as Chandler Bing in the popular 90s sitcom Friends, which ran for 10 years. Perry received one Emmy nomination for his role in Friends and two more for his role as a White House counsel in The West Wing.
