Former flight attendant names 10 things you shouldn't do during a flight
A flight attendant with two years of experience on domestic and international flights who has faced every situation on airplanes recommends not doing certain things in flight. They can endanger both the culprit and other passengers.
According to Insider, there are 10 things you should not do during a flight.
Don't steal life jackets. It turns out that many people consider them a souvenir and secretly hide them in their bags. But in doing so, people put other passengers at risk, practically depriving them of their right to life.
Do not leave the toilet unflushed. A dirty toilet once caught fire, so it's very important to leave a clean restroom behind.
Do not take sleeping pills on the plane. Flight attendants are worried about passengers. Once a flight attendant thought a person was unconscious and tried to wake them up, involving many people. As a result, it turned out that the passenger had simply taken a sleeping pill.
Don't take too much luggage on the plane. First of all, this is an additional stress for the passenger, both physical and psychological. It's also hard to find a place for a lot of bags on the plane.
Never drink alcohol on board. Doing so can put you at risk of being banned. The flight attendant notes that they see and know everything.
Do not rely on flight attendants in placing your hand luggage. The bag should be placed on the overhead shelf or under the seat, but flight attendants are not obliged to help passengers.
Do not go to the restroom when flight attendants are introducing safety rules. You can go to the restroom before takeoff, but not while the flight attendants are conducting a safety demonstration. This knowledge can save your life. It's important to stay seated until the "fasten seat belts" sign goes off. And in an emergency, just call the flight attendant.
Always wipe down the seat-back trays before using them. No one knows who sat in the seat before you and what they did. Therefore, it is better to make sure it is clean.
Never go to the bathroom without shoes. The bathroom is the dirtiest place on an airplane. The liquid you see on the floor is probably not just water.
Don't be silent when you feel bad. No one knows what a simple dizziness or panic attack can turn into. That's why you should always call for help right away.
