The Ukrainian national luge team won bronze in the mixed relay at the Luge World Cup in Sigulda, Latvia. This is the first medal for Ukrainians in this type of program in the history of their performances.

At the second stage of the 2024/25 season, the Ukrainian team finished third, losing 3.947 seconds to the winners from Germany. The national team included singles Yulianna Tunitska and Andriy Mandziy, as well as doubles Ihor Hoy and Nazariy Kachmar and Olena Stetskiv and Oleksandra Mokh.

The Ukrainians were one of three teams to successfully complete the course, while four teams failed to finish.

This bronze medal is the ninth medal for the Ukrainian national team in the history of the World Cup and the first won in relay races. Previously, Natalia Yakushenko won all the awards, including a silver medal at the 2008 World Cup and bronze at the 2009 World Championships. Thus, the award from Sigulda was a jubilee one - the tenth for Ukraine at the highest level.

In addition, the Ukrainian team improved its result by three positions compared to the first stage of the season, where it took sixth place in Oberhof. The competition in Innsbruck, scheduled for early December, was canceled due to technical problems.
