The mother of Ukrainian Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has supported her son, who is at the center of a scandal over a positive doping test. Inna Mudryk expressed her gratitude to everyone who stood by his side.

She emphasized that Mykhailo had worked hard all his life to become a football player, and no efforts to tarnish his reputation could change that.

"Everyone who knows Myshko will never believe what is happening around him now. Thank you all for your support," the woman wrote on Instagram before closing her profile.

This season, Mykhailo Mudryk played 15 matches at the club level, scoring three goals and making five assists. His contract with Chelsea runs until June 30, 2031, and Transfermarkt estimates his value at 30 million euros.

Mudryk, 23, played 28 matches for the Ukrainian national team, scoring three goals. He played two matches at the European Championships but failed to score.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, Mudryk passed a positive doping test after one of the matches in late October, after which he stopped being included in his club's application.

Mykhailo confirmed that the test showed the presence of a banned substance in his body. Our compatriot said he was shocked by the results because he had never used doping.

According to preliminary information, meldonium (mildronate) was found in Mudryk's sample. This drug, which has become particularly popular in Russia since 2014, is banned for use by athletes.
