For fans of witch fantasy: What to watch on Netflix this weekend

Series in the fantasy genre - a great way to distract yourself from the difficult reality and immerse yourself in the world of magic and wizards. A separate subgenre, finding more and more fans, is fantasy about witches.

Hardly the most popular series of this subject is "The Discovery of Witches". Historian and witch by birth Diana Bishop (Teresa Palmer) finds an ancient manuscript in the archives of the Oxford University library and dives into the world of magic. Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches

The literary basis is a series of mystery novels by American author Anne Rice about the Mayfair family of witches. The family lives in New Orleans, and the lives of its members depend on a connection to a supernatural entity named Lesher. When neurosurgeon Rowan Mayfair searches for her biological Mayfair family, she finds a dark legacy and a hidden world filled with supernatural beings. The Magicians

When twenty-year-old Quentin Coldwater enters graduate school in college, he believes the fantasy world of his favorite books was a myth. But he soon discovers that the magical land of Filori is not only so real, but may also pose a threat to humanity. The series is based on the bestselling series of the same name by Lev Grossman. The main roles were played by Jason Ralph, Arjun Gupta and Hale Appleman.

Cursed

Based on the novel by Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler, Cursed is about a mysterious sorceress named Nemue who flees her village with a legendary sword in pursuit of her destiny. Nemue meets a young mercenary named Arthur and seeks out the mysterious Merlin to hand over the ancient sword. The series is an epic reimagining of the legend of King Arthur. In the main roles - Katherine Langford and Devon Terrell.
