Ferrari will stop production of its cheapest model. Photo
The elegant Ferrari Roma coupe, which is the cheapest model of the Italian company, will be discontinued. This news was unexpected. The company will also abandon two more cars.
Motor1 has learned the details. The main reason for the termination of production of Ferrari Roma (with a price of 200,000 euros) is the end of the model's life cycle. It is hard to assume that at the time of the car's debut, the Italian company had planned for the life of this car in the lineup to be only 4-5 years.
Obviously, it's all about the disappointing sales of the Roma. With this model, the manufacturer has moved away from the usual "flashy" sporty style towards more comfortable GTs. However, it seems that the Italian coupe did not perform very convincingly against Aston Martin and Bentley.
Meanwhile, the Ferrari Roma Spider convertible will remain on the assembly line for some time, as this modification was launched not so long ago. There is no information about the model's successor yet. Perhaps the company will decide to refrain from experimenting.
Another car that will no longer be represented in the model lineup is the 812 GTS. It has already been replaced by the new Ferrari 12 Cilindri. The production of the hybrid supercar Ferrari SF90 Stradale will also stop. Its successor is being actively tested on the roads and is gradually being prepared for the premiere.
