Dynamo Kyiv goalkeeper Ruslan Neshcheret became the antihero of the postponed match of the 3rd round of the Ukrainian Premier League against Kharkiv Metalist 1925 The 21-year-old national team player missed a goal from 16 meters due to his mistake.
In the 71st minute, with the score 3:1 in favor of Kyiv, Andrii Boriachuk brought Andrii Remeniuk to the goal with a long pass. Remeniuk was being chased by Vladyslav Dubinchak, but Neshcheret, instead of staying in the net and waiting for the episode to end, decided to help his defender.
As a result, the capital's goalkeeper was easily beaten at speed by the 24-year-old Metalist forward, scoring a goal into an empty net without a chance for Neshcheret and Dubinchak.
Ruslan could only grab his head, watching the ball roll.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, the match between Dynamo and Metalist 1925 ended with a score of 4:2. Oleksandr Shovkovskyi's team won their third consecutive victory after the resignation of Romanian Mircea Lucescu.
The victory allowed the White and Blues to gain 25 points and move up to fifth place in the UPL standings.
