Elon Musk's X social network has opened free access to audio and video calls: how to try it
Social network X, formerly known as Twitter, is opening access to voice and video calls for all users. It will gradually become available even for users with regular, non-premium accounts.
The company's engineer Enrique Barragan announced this on his page. His post was also published by the company's CEO Linda Yaccarino. Barragan showed subscribers where to find access to the feature in the settings and how to manage it.
To access call management, you'll need to go to your settings and select who you want to allow to call you. These can be people from your address book, people you've subscribed to, verified users, or anyone who has an account on the platform. You can also enable increased call privacy.
Where it is already available, the feature works the same way as in any popular messenger. The call button is integrated into the window of a private message to the user. Also, a notification of a call via social network X will be displayed on the phone's home screen like a notification of a regular call.
For the first time, this feature was announced in May last year. In October, it became available to verified users with iPhone smartphones. Gradually, it was opened to users using other platforms, and now they decided to open it to everyone.
Earlier, OBOZ.UA reported that the owner of social network X Elon Musk plans to open dating and money transfer services and make users "pay for everything", i.e. monetize most of the available features.
