Dynamo's match in Uzhgorod was canceled after an air raid was called off
The match of the 16th round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) between Minaj and Dynamo has been postponed to the spring of 2024. The game, which was interrupted due to an air raid alert, will not be resumed. This decision was made by the match delegate after a conversation with representatives of the clubs, reports Suspilne.Sport.
The final decision on the new date of the match will be made later directly by the UPL.
It should be noted that the alarm due to the MiG takeoff in Russia lasted more than an hour and a half. The match was to resume no later than 14:30, as there was no artificial lighting in the arena.
After the representatives of Minaj and Dynamo, along with the meeting delegate, signed all the documents stating that the game would not take place and the Kyiv players started packing, the bell rang.
The hosts tried to insist that the match be resumed, but it didn't work.
It will be recalled that in the 15th round of the UPL, Oleksandr Shovkovskyi's men defeated Lviv's Rukh 2-0.
On November 24, Shakhtar failed to beat Polissya Zhytomyr (0:0). The Donetsk and Kyiv clubs are separated by only three points in the standings. Kryvbas and Dnipro-1 are leading the way (33 points each).
