On the night of February 24, powerful explosions occurred at the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant in the Russian Federation. The occupiers complained about a UAV attack and reported on the "successful" operation of air defense.
Later it became known that the attack on the Russian metallurgical plant was organized by the SBU and the DIU. This was reported to OBOZ.UA by its sources.
It is worth noting that unmanned aerial vehicles hit important installations. As a result of the attack, the production process will be suspended.
The Lipetsk Metallurgical Plant is one of the largest in the territory of the aggressor country. It works for the Russian military-industrial complex and fulfills a large number of government orders.
According to sources, the raw materials of this enterprise are used to manufacture Russian missiles, artillery, drones, and other weapons. Therefore, the plant was a legitimate target for Ukraine.
Sources in the special services noted that after the powerful explosions at the metallurgical plant, a large-scale fire broke out and personnel were evacuated. It is also known that the UAVs targeted installations intended for primary cooling of untreated coke oven gas. The damage to these facilities will lead to a shutdown of the entire production process of the steel plant for a long time.
It is noteworthy that the owner of this metallurgical plant is oligarch Vladimir Lisin, who is close to Russian dictator Putin. According to Forbes, he is one of the three richest people in the terrorist country of Russia.
According to preliminary data, until recently, the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant produced raw materials for Russian companies involved in nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles.
As a reminder, on the night of February 24, the territory of the Russian Federation was restless - some regions were attacked by unknown UAVs. Explosions were heard in particular in Lipetsk.
