Drones have attacked a number of regions in Russia, causing destruction: Russians are hysterically looking for the culprits. Photos and videos
On the night of Tuesday, September 10, the aggressor country of Russia once again complained about a UAV attack – unknown drones were heading towards the Russian capital Moscow. A "Carpet" plan was announced at Moscow's Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports.
All departing and arriving flights were redirected to other airports, according to Russian propaganda channels on Telegram. The Russian Defense Ministry announced the alleged destruction of nearly 150 drones over a number of Russian regions.
Thus, according to the Russian "defense" ministry, during the night, Russian air defense allegedly managed to "destroy and intercept" 144 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, air defense was operating in nine regions, including the Moscow region. According to the occupiers, they managed to shoot down 72 UAVs over the Bryansk region, 20 over the Moscow region, 14 over the Kursk region, 13 over the Tula region, 8 over the Belgorod region, 7 over the Kaluga region, 5 over the Voronezh region, 4 over the Lipetsk region, and one over the Orel region of the Russian Federation.
The attacks on the Moscow region caused the most hysteria in Russia. The Russian media started writing about them at night.
According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, UAVs flying to the capital of the aggressor country were allegedly shot down in the Lyubertsy urban district, Podolsk, and Ramensky urban district.
According to him, one drone was shot down in Lyubertsy, two in Ramensky district, and allegedly four in Podilsk. According to him, there was "no damage or casualties at the crash sites."
Meanwhile, videos of drones in the Moscow region and air defense operations were posted online. Attention, the footage contains profanity!
The propagandists also wrote that a series of explosions occurred in Zhukovsky near Moscow. Witnesses heard at least 10 loud explosions. The wreckage of one of the downed UAVs fell on the roadway of a street.
At the same time, the Bryansk region also complained about the UAV attack. The governor of the region, Alexander Bogomaz, said that the occupiers' air defense forces "intercepted and destroyed 59 aircraft-type UAVs."
And in the Lipetsk region, propagandists write, drones were allegedly shot down in the Yelets district, in the Lipetsk and Volov municipal districts.
In the Tula region, according to the Russian media, 2 UAVs were destroyed: "the wreckage fell on one of the fuel and energy facilities, there were no casualties, and the supply of energy to consumers was not disrupted."
Russian air defense was also active in the Kaluga region: they reported the destruction of 7 UAVs in the Zhukovsky, Maloyaroslavetsky, and Dzerzhinsky districts, and that "there were no casualties or damage."
Later, Russian media reported that a high-rise building was on fire in Ramenskoye, Moscow region, after a UAV attack. The occupiers' air defense system probably shot down the drone right above the building. The UAV fell on a multi-story building and a fire broke out.
People are being evacuated. Sobyanin said that two more drones were shot down.
Later, Russian media reported a "drone strike" on another high-rise building in Ramenskoye. The propagandists claim that five people were injured in the village as a result of the strikes and that they sustained shrapnel wounds. The governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, announced the death of a 9-year-old child.
RosSIA reported that 14 drones were allegedly shot down in Moscow region in the urban districts of Podolsk, Ramenskoye, Lyubertsy, Domodedovo, and Kolomna. TASS also reported that a child was killed and only one injured in the Moscow region. Another millionaire social media outlet later denied the death of the child, saying that the information was not confirmed and that a woman of 46 was killed and three other Russians were injured.
In addition, according to propagandists, the drone's wreckage fell on the territory of a private house in the Troitsky administrative district in Moscow. No one was allegedly injured there.
Meanwhile, where Russian air defense did not interfere and did not knock Ukrainian drones off course, they are heading for their targets - and these are not Russian high-rise buildings, but, for example, the Zhukovsky International Airport (also known as Ramenskoye Airport).
RosMedia also claimed that the airport was "closed for arrivals and departures amid a UAV attack that began on Tuesday night".
Russian propagandists also published a video of an airplane-type drone flying over a settlement in the Moscow region and then exploding. The video only shows the hum of the drone's engine but does not show the operation of Russian air defense systems.
In this video, Russians are throwing a tantrum in the comments. They wonder what happened to the vaunted Russian air defense system, which, according to the authorities, reliably covers both Moscow and the Moscow region. They are also outraged by the lack of warnings about the threat, as well as by the fact that for almost three years of full-scale war, the Russian command has not been able to prepare the occupiers to work with at least primitive weapons capable of performing air defense functions. Also, as can be seen from the comments, the adrenaline from the night drone attack was not enough for some Russians, and they demand the use of nuclear weapons.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, on the night of September 1, Ukraine attacked Russia with drones, the attack in Russia was called the "largest" for the entire war. Explosions were heard in 15 Russian regions, and the Russian Defense Ministry announced the "downing" of 158 aircraft-type drones.
