Drones attack Russian Krasnodar region: a refinery bursts into flames after loud explosions. Video

On the night of Sunday, March 17, unidentified drones attacked the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation. A series of explosions occurred in the city of Slavyansk-on-Kuban.

According to Russian media reports, the attack resulted in a fire on the territory of a local oil refinery. There is also at least one casualty, who is an employee of the refinery. Later, the operational headquarters reported that one person was killed.

"Ambulances and operational services have arrived at the scene," the statement said.

Locals wrote in chat rooms that they heard at least five explosions and at least 10 drones flying overhead. An air raid alert was also heard in the city, but not everyone could hear it.

The explosions occurred at the facility of Slavyansk-ECO LLC. This information was later confirmed by the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Krai. They claim that the drones were allegedly "neutralized". However, it is reported that a fire broke out as a result of the fall of one of the drones.

83 people and 25 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing it.

The head of the Slavyansk district, Roman Sinyagovsky, called the fire on the territory of the refinery a "localized fire" and confirmed media reports of one victim.

Later, the operational headquarters reported that at the time of the UAV attack, one person had died and that the preliminary cause of death was a heart attack. At the same time, they said the fire was completely extinguished.

As reported, on the morning of March 16, two oil companies were attacked in the Samara region of the Russian Federation. Unidentified drones damaged the Syzran and Novokuibyshevsky oil refineries.

Later, it became known that the SSU drones had targeted three Rosneft refineries in the Samara region.
