The nighttime "cotton" at the Tatarstan refinery is a joint operation of the SBU and the DIU. A Ukrainian long-range drone hit the primary oil refining unit at the oil refinery in Nizhnekamsk, after which a fire broke out there.

OBOZ.UA learned about this from its sources. The capacity of the affected unit was 8 million tons of oil, which is 2.6% of the total annual refining of the Russian Federation per year. In addition, this plant is one of the five largest refineries in Russia.

"We continue to work systematically to ensure that Russia has fewer and fewer opportunities to finance its war of aggression against Ukraine. We will continue to cut off oxygen to the gas station country to minimize the flow of petrodollars to the Russian military budget," the source said.

According to the legend of Russian propagandists, an allegedly Ukrainian UJ-22 Airborne drone with at least 20 kg of explosives arrived in Tatarstan. It is worth noting that, based on the propagandists' statement, the UAV was supposed to fly at least 1,100 km, while according to its specifications, the maximum flight range is 800 km.

As reported by OBOZ.UA:

– A video of a drone striking a Russian factory in the special economic zone of the city of Elabuga (Tatarstan), where the enemy assembles Shakheds, was posted online. The drone hit one of the buildings, over which a fiery "mushroom" rose into the sky after the explosion.

– The Elabuga Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of the industrial production type, which was attacked by a Ukrainian drone on the morning of April 2, is located 10 km from the city of Elabuga in the Republic of Tatarstan. It is a legitimate target for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as Russia has set up production of analogs of Iranian Shahed drones there.
