How to charge your iPhone

It is impossible to imagine a modern person without a phone; it is an indispensable gadget in everyday life. There are often situations when people don't have time to charge their smartphone and it runs out of power completely.

You shouldn't ignore this because the wrong charging method can damage the battery. Guiding Tech has found out at what percentage an iPhone should be charged.

According to experts, there is no specific percentage at which you should charge your phone, but it is not recommended to let the battery drop to zero. Completely discharging the battery can affect its ability to hold a charge longer.

When the phone is already showing a 20% charge or it is already sending notifications about low battery mode, then you need to connect the gadget to the power supply.

Do not wait until the battery level drops significantly. Charge your iPhone whenever you can, whether it's 30, 40, or 60%, it's better than waiting for the charge level to drop below the recommended level.

There are also a few tips to follow while charging to keep your battery healthy.

Turn on optimized charging

You can charge your phone up to 100%, but you shouldn't leave it charging for a long time when the battery is already full. This puts more strain on the battery and may affect its overall life. Therefore, you must enable optimized charging to preserve the battery. Go to Settings → Battery → Battery health & charging → Enable optimized battery charging.

Maintain the temperature of your phone

High temperatures can adversely affect the performance of your gadget and cause your phone to drain quickly. Whenever you feel that your iPhone is getting too hot, do not plug it in and wait for it to cool down.

You can do this by removing the case, turning off the phone, and putting it in a cool place.

Optimize iPhone settings

In Settings, you can enable features that will help extend battery life. To do this, turn on Auto Brightness, check which apps consume the most battery power, and disable or uninstall them.

Turn on the power saving mode when you are not using the phone and disable background updates for certain apps.
