Christmas in T-shirts: where to spend an unforgettable holiday vacation and take a break from the cold

We usually associate Christmas with winter and the wintry atmosphere. However, if you want to spend the holiday in warmth, you don't even have to leave Europe.

According to the Mirror, the small island of Malta, located in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, can provide you with such weather to walk around in a T-shirt in December. Throughout December, temperatures in Malta can reach a maximum of 17 degrees Celsius, dropping to 11 degrees in the evenings. During the holiday season, there are also several extravagant and magical Christmas markets.

Santa's magical city in Valletta

The annual holiday fair takes place in Piazza Tritoni outside the city gates of Valletta. From the carousel and Ferris wheel to the ice rink, there is plenty of great entertainment. Live performances are constantly taking place on the stage, and unique handmade souvenirs are sold at the artisan market. The town will be open from December 8 to January 7.

Hilltop Gardens Christmas Market in Nashua

The annual Hilltop Gardens Christmas Market is dedicated to the local community. This year it will be held on November 30 and December 1. The two-day event offers goods from 20 local vendors. In addition to this, the holiday market will provide a wide selection of flavored seasonal drinks and treats.

Valletta Waterfront

The Valletta waterfront also comes to life for Christmas. From November 25 to January 6, it will be decorated with a 10-meter Christmas tree. There will also be a Santa's house and figures of other holiday characters, including a 6-meter Nutcracker. Of course, festive items will also appear on the menus of coastal restaurants.

Natalis Notabilis in Rabat

The Natalis Notabilis holiday market returns to Rabat from December 7 to 13 after a several-year break. This is one of the largest Christmas markets in Malta, which is a real winter wonderland. The charming streets of the city turn into quaint paths full of festive cheer, where various handicrafts and traditional Maltese Christmas treats are sold on the stalls.

Kirkop Christmas Market

Although the dates of the Kirkop Christmas Market have not yet been announced, foodies should keep an eye out for announcements, as they will find perhaps the largest selection of holiday treats. All the streets of Kirkop turn into a Christmas paradise during the event, with small gifts and holiday decorations for sale. However, most people go to Kirkop on Christmas Day to see the immersive shopping experience, which uses a lot of decorations and lights.

Christmas event "Santa's Little Astronauts"

If you're looking for something out of the ordinary, Santa's Little Astronauts is a 360-degree Christmas visual show with full panoramic projection. The event takes place inside the Mercury Christmas dome, where children can lie with their parents and watch the festive scenes play out around them. The event will take place on December 7 and 8.
