Sometimes on something very expensive we say that it costs as much as an airplane wing. Well, we can officially replace this expression with "expensive as the headlights from Bugatti Chiron".
Journalists of the Motor1 edition have reported that a pair of lighting devices from this lakshera model costs as much as a new Porsche 911. And there are reasons for that.
The main one, of course, is the exclusivity of Bugatti Chiron. Only 500 units were produced. And such a level has its price, not only when you buy a car, but also in the purchase of spare parts for it.
So on the German division of online marketplace eBay a set of headlights Valeo for Chiron can be purchased for truly cosmic money. Compatible with Pur Sport and Super Sport 300+, these LEDs cost 147,000 euros, that is 165,000 dollars. And yes, that is indeed the price of the new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS. It will cost around $164,900.
In fact, the seller of the headlight kit is located in Poland. He is willing to ship his product to European countries for an additional fee of €1000. The cost of delivery outside the EU is not specified. It will not be possible to order this luxury in Ukraine.
An interesting nuance - the condition of these headlights is listed as used. But the seller assures that they look and work exactly as new. It should be noted that they are advertised as original headlights with OEM part code: 5B4941035C 5B4941036C.
Journalists searched these codes and found the same headlights for sale on a Polish website, where they are sold at a much more favorable price. They can be purchased for 420,000 zlotys, which is 98,000 euros or 110,000 dollars.
However, the Chiron's upkeep is an insanely expensive affair, no matter which way you look at it. So you'll have to pay $10,000 for a taillight, $13,547 for a replacement key, and $8,449 for a set of tires. Front brake disks of the model will cost $ 18,317, and front brake pads - $ 6,764. Rear ones respectively at $18,317 for discs and $4,024 for pads. A new transmission to the auto costs $185,000. For annual maintenance will have to lay out 11500 dollars.
