Budget lard spread: a perfect complement to borscht or any Ukrainian dish
Spreads are one of the most popular types of appetizers in the world. They can be made from almost any ingredient, resulting in a new dish every time.
Food blogger Yuliia Senych shared a recipe for one of her favorite spreads on Instagram. The cook used lard to make it. This means that this dish is perfect for borscht or any other Ukrainian dish.

Ingredients
- Salted lard – 250-300 g
- Garlic – 5-6 cloves.
- Pepper to taste
Method of preparation
1. Pound the salted lard without the skin and garlic in a meat grinder. If you do this more than once, the structure will become much more tender.
Grind the lard.

2. Add pepper to taste.
3. Serve with white or black bread.
