Britain warns Putin against cynical use of terrorist attack for war - The Telegraph

The United Kingdom has warned Russian dictator Vladimir Putin against using the attack on Crocus City Hall to escalate the war against Ukraine. The Kremlin's master made the relevant statements, which may indicate such intentions, the day before, on March 23, almost a day after the attack.

The British government is closely monitoring the manifestations of Putin's desperate desire to shift the blame for the attack onto Ukraine. This was reported by The Telegraph, citing a security source in the British government.

According to the source, the British government did not go unnoticed by Putin's statements the day before that Ukraine had allegedly prepared a "window" on the Russian-Ukrainian border to let the suspects in the attack in Moscow Region into its territory.

"Putin's desperate desire to shift all of this onto Ukraine is not surprising, as he is trying to further deceive the Russian people by pretending that there is no dissent in Russia. He should not use this fictitious connection as any excuse to intensify his illegal war in Ukraine," The Telegraph quoted the source as saying.

It was not only the Russian dictator who made such attempts to blame Ukraine for the attack. According to Alicia Cairns, Chair of the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee, Russian media channels have been actively disseminating fake videos of Ukrainian officials in an attempt to blame Ukraine and give Putin a reason to continue his criminal war against Ukraine and commit new atrocities on Ukrainian soil.

"There is no indication of any connection to Ukraine, and no credible reason to believe they are involved," Kearns emphasized.

Earlier, ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack on Crocus City Hall, first releasing new details and photos of the terrorists before the shooting in the Moscow region, and later releasing a video of the shooting made by the terrorists.

The United States also believes that the attack was carried out by the Islamic State and rejects Ukraine's involvement in the Crocus City Hall terrorist attack. However, Russia is stubbornly promoting the version of the "Ukrainian trace" and is trying to "pin" the massacre on Ukraine.
