Russian occupiers from a prison unit shot dead their colleagues

Russian occupants continue the tradition of "self-denazification". In the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region, the commander of the Russian Storm-Gladiator unit and his deputy shot dead two Russian servicemen: the killers were detained a month after the incident.

All the defendants had previously been convicted of serious crimes in Russia. Details are reported by Russian media.

Back on September 18 this year, the bodies of two men with gunshot wounds were found near a bus stop in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian village of Zelenyi Yar, Berdiansk district, Zaporizhzhia region.

Later, the victims were identified as soldiers of the 503rd Assault Regiment of the 58th Combined Arms Army, 60-year-old Shakir Akberov and 57-year-old Andrey Lukashin.

Both men fought in Ukraine as part of a unit with ex-prisoners. Akberov was imprisoned on a drug-related charge, while Lukashin had previously been convicted of theft, robbery, plunder and illegal arms trafficking.

The occupiers immediately opened a criminal case. The killers of the newly minted "heroes of Russia" were found the day before, on October 24. They were colleagues of the "denazified": 38-year-old Aleksander Ostashkov, commander of the Storm-Gladiator company of the 503rd Assault Regiment, and 29-year-old Magomed Magomedov, his deputy.

Both also had previous problems with the law: Ostashkov, a native of the Tyumen region, has a criminal record for theft, robbery and assault, while Magomedov, from Dagestan, was tried on the same charges.

As a reminder, the Russian occupiers in Ukraine regularly thin out their ranks. Thus, in September, at least two shootings between the invaders in the Kherson region were reported: one of them resulted in three occupants being killed, and in the second case, five invaders were shot dead.

Similar incidents were also recorded in the temporarily occupied Mariupol, where, for example, in August, the Russian military staged a fatal shootout with Kadyrov's men, as well as in Zaporizhzhia, where people were also killed and wounded.
