A year ago, on December 24, 2022, Russian occupation forces ruthlessly attacked the center of Kherson. The enemy forces attacked civilian objects such as a market, a shopping center, residential buildings, and administrative buildings.

This was reported by Roman Mrochko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration. He noted that for many families, the day before Christmas has forever become a symbol of mourning and despair.

On that day, the Russian military fired 41 times at the city, killing 10 people and injuring 62 others.

"My sincere condolences to the families and friends of the Kherson residents who died on that bloody Christmas! The Russians will not get away with anything - they will definitely pay for every death of a Ukrainian!" Mrochko wrote.

Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, noted that this attack by the occupiers was another manifestation of the boundless cynicism and inhumanity of the Russians.

"December 24, 2022. Saturday. Kherson residents are busy with the New Year's Eve preparations. 41 strikes. Pain and despair everywhere. 10 dead. 62 wounded. We will take revenge. We will never forget this terrible crime. And Russia will definitely be held accountable for it. As well as for yesterday's act of terror!" Prokudin wrote.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on the night of December 24, the occupying Russian army shelled the central part of Kherson with artillery. As a result of the actions of war criminals, an elderly couple and another man were killed.

Earlier it was reported that the troops of the Russian Federation on the evening of Saturday, December 23, launched a massive attack on Kherson. Several districts were under fire, fires broke out as a result of the attacks, and at least seven civilians were injured.
