Roma forward Artem Dovbyk will not help the Ukrainian national team in the opening matches of the Nations League against Albania on September 7 and the Czech Republic on September 10. The top scorer in the Spanish league last season suffered an injury that deprived him of the opportunity to take the field in the upcoming meetings of the Blue and Yellows.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF). The striker arrived at the location of the national team, but an in-depth medical examination showed that the player needs additional time to recover. At the same time, the nature of Dovbyk's injuries is not reported.

Thus, coach Serhiy Rebrov has only two forwards left at his disposal - Dynamo's Vladyslav Vanat and Greek Olympiacos' Roman Yaremchuk. Shakhtar's Danylo Sikan is on the reserve list.
