Barefoot Russian with a naked torso caused a stir at Phuket airport: tourists called the police

Employees of the tourist police and the Tourist Assistance Center on the island of Phuket, Thailand, were forced to dress a Russian tourist who caused a commotion at the airport on December 11. According to witnesses, the Russian showed signs of "mental problems."

The troubled passenger refused to receive medical treatment. He was taken from the hands of law enforcement officers by either friends or relatives who received a call from the foreigner's phone, Russian media report.

It is reported that the airport staff received an appeal from people who had been observing a strange man without shoes or clothes walking around the halls since the morning.

When there was no longer any doubt about the foreigner's inadequacy, he was taken to an isolated room and forced to cover his torso.

They decided not to board the plane because he was behaving suspiciously and could be dangerous. According to the airport staff, the traveler was carrying documents, a ticket and luggage.

He refused the help of doctors, put on a T-shirt and waited for his loved ones. Comically, the Russian chose the image of the terrorist and drug lord Pablo Escobar out of all the things to choose from.

Friends of the "mentally ill" tourist picked him up from the airport. Nothing is known about the fate of the Russian citizen.
