Bali urges Russian tourists to "dress more modestly" as women riding scooters in bikinis distract drivers
The authorities of the tropical island of Bali, where Russian tourists like to vacation, have asked Russian women to "dress more modestly." Guests of the resort who are not interested in the cultural and traditional background of the places they visit create uncomfortable conditions for drivers on the roads.
The head of Bali's tourism department, Tjok Bagus Pemayun, spoke about this in a conversation with the propagandists. According to him, travelers from Russia are almost the main reason for the inattention of local drivers.
"Most of the violations committed by tourists in Bali are related to traffic. Sometimes tourists who ride motorcycles here wear inappropriate and impolite clothes. For example, bikinis. Of course, maybe it's their first time in a tropical country, so they're not used to our hot weather. But in reality, this behavior distracts locals on the road and also draws unwanted attention to tourists in Bali on social media," the official said.

He asked tourists to ask guides and locals about the dress code in cultural and religious places so as not to shock the locals.
"If you have the opportunity, opt for long pants. Shorts are also okay, as long as they are of an appropriate length. Otherwise, you will attract a lot of attention on the road, which can be distracting for other drivers. Please wear appropriate clothing, not just a bra, for example," he said.
