On the morning of Saturday, January 25, Russian occupants used Shahed kamikaze drones to target the Kyiv region. A 9-story residential building was damaged in the city of Vyshneve as a result of the attack.
This was reported by the acting head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Mykola Kalashnyk on Telegram. According to him, the balconies from the fourth to the eighth floors were destroyed, and windows were smashed.
The stairwells collapsed in one of the entrances.
"All the necessary agencies are on site. We are inspecting the entrances and dismantling the damaged structures. The new building is partially occupied. No information about the victims has been received," Kalashnyk said.
In the morning, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine confirmed that enemy drones hit a high-rise building in the town of Vyshneve.
"Balconies from the 5th to the 9th floors were destroyed. Rescuers saved three people from the 5th floor and two from the 7th floor of the building, including two children. Preliminary, with no injuries. A total of 42 rescuers and 7 vehicles are working at the scene," the statement said.
The wreckage of the downed drones caused damage in another town in Kyiv region too.
"As a result of an enemy attack, a building of a production facility in Fastiv district caught fire. The fire was extinguished on an area of 600 square meters. There were no casualties," the SES added.
Last night, fires broke out in a ten-story building and a private house in Brovary and Hlevakha, Kyiv region, as a result of falling debris, too: three people died and one was injured.
As reported, on the night of January 24, the Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down 25 drones of various types over Ukraine. As a result of the enemy strike, there were victims in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions, and air defense was operating in seven regions.
