Baked mackerel with prunes: it will be very tasty and juicy
Mackerel is an ideal fish for baking. Add citrus fruits, prunes, spices, ginger, and rosemary for a bright flavor.
The cook shared a recipe for delicious baked mackerel with prunes and lemon on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- Mackerel - 2 pcs.
- Smoked prunes - 10 pcs.
- Lemon - 1/2 pc.
- Salt - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Clean and cut the mackerel, but not completely. Pull out the ridge. Put the fish on foil. Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle well with lemon juice (inside and outside on each side).
2. Stuff the mackerel with lemon slices and prunes. Wrap the fish in foil and cook in the oven for 20 minutes at 180 C.
3. Unwrap the fish and bake for another 10 minutes to crisp up the crust.
